This race, made up of the lowest-rated trotters on Finale Day, may prove a real pointer to future success for years to come, as it was the 5 and 6yos in the race who put in the most impressive performances. Of these, it was Gazelle Bouillon (Rocker Laidler) who emerged with a decisive victory by five lengths over Fiesta d’Eole (Steven Williams) in second. Gipsy de Tillard (Joss Edwards) was a fast finishing third two and a half lengths further back, after losing lots of ground at the start.
