Dolce Vita Wood had a very respectable record in France and it was no surprise that in her second outing here for the Howards she outclassed the field in the Prix Bank Holiday Trot – giving James Haythornthwaite his first win on a trotter this season. A rejuvenated Velours d’Arche took a distant second for Simon Clarke and the Nicholson pair of Ebony Star and Espion d’Eole in the minors.
