Hilova Forlife (Andrew Cairns) was in complete control throughout this championship event for the four year old Les Juniors, making it three from three. This filly, by Jeanbat du Vivier, was a yearling nomination into the series after being purchased by Kath Ellis and Peter Bradder at the 2018 Caen sales. Hot Lava (Phil O’Neill) a British-bred contender (by Reach de Vandel out of Vanua Lava) finished  a solid second. We look forward to seeing both graduate to the senior ranks in 2022, along with the other H-generation horses who missed the Criterium for various reasons, including Brexit-related ones.
