Calimero Brouets had been taking on the big guns all season, so was well handicapped in the Prix York Sale, a conditioned race based on 2021 winnings, deservedly winning in the hands of Mike Evans. Cimmino (Rocker Laidler) was a comfortable second and Droits de l’Homme (Steven Williams) recorded another promising for the expanding Williams-Thomas team in finishing third.
