Etoile du Cantal – Has been in terrific form this season and is now stepped up to Free For All level. Drawn 1 is a major plus so it will be interesting to see how he fares. Belem de Bertrange – 4th at York at the weekend he is a top class performer and he thrives over the mile he is a major player here. Bueno Verderie – Winner here at the beginning of July but has failed to follow up since he has to have a massive chance here though back over the minimum distance. Coeur De Venise – Has won 4 times since being imported and was 2nd in his only race over 1 mile. He likes to lead and stays for ever not convinced he thrives over this shorter distance though. Broadway du Bourg – Has plenty of speed and thrives over the 1 mile distance and he is yet another for serious consideration despite his wide draw. Eliothrope – Has won his last 2 races at York and is now stepped up to Free For All Class. He is very speedy and will be well fancied despite being drawn 7. Belem de Bertrange is at his best over this trip and he has to have a big chance but Bueno Verderie beat him here the last time they raced over the mile. Eliothrope is another speed demon who looks ready to stake a proper claim at this level despite being drawn 7 and he is take to land the spoils.
