‘Godrel’ reaffirmed his status with an impressive win on the opening day of the season at Tir Prince, his subsequent performances including British record-breaking wins in the Ephie Mather Memorial at Tir Prince (mile and quarter) and Prix Argentan at York (mile and half, coming off a 40 yard trail), as well as taking out the big handicap at Appleby. He was also our HoY in 2020 but because of COVID, the annual International Trotteur Français (TF) Meeting did not take place. So, it is doubly appropriate that Savannah Nicholson and her accompanying person will be the guests of Le Trot at the International TF Award Meeting in Palma de Mallorca on November 14. John Henry Nicolson, already announced as our Driver of the Year, will be the British representative in the international race at Son Pardo racecourse that day.
