It was a double for the mares on the night when Europe and Joe Quinn came through to hold off Dorenzo du Houlbet (Leo Arnett) by a neck, with Envouteuse (James Haythornthwaite) a nose away third, and ‘head waiter’, Emirat du Levant (off 60), another neck away fourth. The best finish of the season by far, but of many good ones.
