Catalane du Canet removed all doubts about her claims to be Mare of the Year by her convincing win in the the Prix Emmanuelle – La Reine d’Or (Golden Queen). It was her seventh win of the season in the hands of Steven Williams and made her unassailable as the leading money winner of 2021 for Fern Williams and Matty Thomas. On the muddy track at York Enez Leman (Mike Evans was an honourable second and Feline du Padoueng (John Henry Nicholson) third.
